Can such a thing happen? We've been married for18 years, I've always loved ***. He has 3 kids from a previous marriage, seems very masculine and macho….but he admits to looking at *** **** and chatting online with *** men! What the heck is happening to him? He's always been very outspoken about not condoning gay/lesbian relationships, yet he seems to prefer looking at men's 'equipment' over looking at mine! So, I'm hurt, confused and jealous when he tells me it's nothing to worry about. Should I be worried? Is this part of 'male menopause, or a sign of depression, or is he so totally bored with our *** life that he only gets turned on by pretending he's ***? We're in our middle 50's and I've used up all the *** tricks I know. I'm so damned confused that I just feel like crying! I want my husband back, but I'm no match for straight internet porn, let alone *** ****!

So, speaking of female menopause and its conjunction with the (male) midlife crisis…
Why don't women ever run off with a hot young man – or busty young blonde for all you ******** out there? Why don't we buy porsches and get a loft in soho for our new wife (life)? Why don't we quit our jobs as business executives and/or moms and become professional sky-divers?
Well, I heard from a post-menopausal woman that all her cravings for a) chocolate, b) spas, c) other types of cravings, as well as her power surges, periods of exhaustion, and mood-swings died….
when she hit MENOPAUSE.
As for men, at exactly that time period, the husband or midlife male begins to have cravings, power surges, periods of exhaustion, and mood swings.
In other words, they start their periods.
Why is this?

i'm only 39 and have been told that i am at the beginning of the 'change.' i have noticed so many changes (hot flashes, lack of interests in the bedroom moody, i feel several personalities have emerged from just myself)
i was wondering if i could have a males point of view that have 'been through it with their wife/partner. and of course from ladies that can give me any advise how to deal with this best. my partner tells me 'it's ok' that i have little interest in making love. i feel so bad for him. is he just being nice..or does it really bother you as much as we think it bothers you? i have very little energy anyway and i have 4 children at home. aged, 2, 10, 14, 16.
i eat well and take vitamins, but i don't feel any better. points of view from both sexes would be so helpful, so i can understand help, and deal better with myself and my partner during this time.

Which gender is harder to deal with in terms of moods and emotions?
Part 1:
Can a man ever express an equal amount of emotions or more? Can a woman be equally or more strong in being the rock of the family and holding everything together?
Part 2: Which gender is harder to deal with in terms of moods? Women have PMS and menopause.
But men have IMS and andropause.
Do women ever cater to men when men have these mood changes during IMS or similar episodes? that would be real equality.
Do you think in some relationship the woman get the short end of the stick? Or do men always get the short end of the stick?
Is it possible for a relationship to benefit the man more than the woman?
Again, there is the assumption that women are hormonal but men are moved more by logic. But the truth is men are as hormonally driven as women. In fact, men have a number of hormonal cycles:
1) Men's testosterone, for instance, varies and goes up and down four or five times an hour.
2) There are daily cycles with testosterone being higher in the morning and lower at night.
3) Men have a monthly hormonal cycle that is unique to each man, but men can actually track their moods and recognize they are related to hormonal changes through the month.
4) We know that there are seasonal cycles with testosterone higher in November and lower in April.
5) We know about hormonal cycles with males during adolescence, but also the years between 40 and 55 have what we call male menopause or andropause.
6) Finally, we know there are hormonal changes in men going through IMS, related to stress in a man's life.

I mean, what in the world helps stop or helps make life more comfortable? What herbs can be gotten and where? I don't trust anything a doctor might prescribe. Trust me, I have seen several (male and female) and since they haven't gone there themselves, they tend to dismiss it as a lack-luster cold. Help, please, somebody.

I sent this to the senior forum also.
A good friend, age 67, in good health, on no meds, good blood pressure, seems to be very emotional at times.
He says he can feel like crying when talking about his kids, grandkids, watching an injury in a football game, a movie, a memory of long ago, listening to old songs, any number of things.
Has any males experienced these kinds of emotions?
